Meet Our Founder
Principal Consultant
Jessica is passionate about helping others reach their highest career and personal life potential. Her passion also extends deeper to supporting immigrants and international students through their career and life journey in Canada addressing areas in career transitioning and change, job seeking, culture assimilation, trauma, anxiety, stress, and relationships.
She takes a holistic, client-centered approach to her practice. As a Chartered Professional in Human Resources and a Career Development Practitioner- she works through life barriers that prevent her clients from enjoying the beauty in their everyday lives and career blockades that challenge them from seeking and obtaining gainful employment by collaboratively working on the needs identified by her clients first, then diving fully into an engaged, action plan.
Jessica's ultimate goal is to have each client move from being stuck with no life or career direction to having clarity, a vision, and an actionable road map to attain all their life and career aspirations.

Company History
Mindset Moves Consulting Services was founded in 2020 by Jessica Kyei, a BIPOC HR professional with a passion for fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the workplace. Jessica's journey into HR and DEI was deeply personal, stemming from her own experiences as a Black woman navigating career challenges and systemic barriers. She understood that traditional career development often overlooked the unique hurdles faced by marginalized and underrepresented BIPOC individuals. This inspired her to create Mindset Moves Consulting Services, a company dedicated to empowering individuals and guiding organizations toward inclusive practices.​
In the early stages, Mindset Moves Consulting Services focused on career coaching for BIPOC individuals, helping them set career goals, prepare for interviews, and overcome workplace challenges. Jessica's approach to coaching emphasized "self-therapy," a process of introspection, self-awareness, and personal growth. This unique method resonated with clients who often found traditional coaching lacking in empathy and cultural understanding. By combining career development with self-therapy, Jessica created a supportive environment where clients could explore their career aspirations while addressing internalized biases and external barriers.
The success of her approach led to rapid growth, and by 2021, Mindset Moves Consulting Services had expanded its services to include DEI training and workshops for organizations. Jessica's reputation as a dynamic DEI advocate attracted partnerships with companies seeking to improve their workplace culture. Her training sessions focused on raising awareness about implicit bias, promoting cultural competence, and implementing inclusive practices.​
Today, Mindset Moves Consulting Services continues to evolve, adapting to the changing needs of individuals and organizations.
